Lynton & Lynmouth Comedy Festival
15th to 17th October 2010

The Lynton & Lynmouth Comedy Festival is a new 3 day event being planned for this autumn. The aim is to bring a fun and varied lineup that would not normally be seen in the locality, with a similar kind of emphasis and ethos as the existing Music Festival in June.

The comedy festival is led by Exanza Event Management, with additional input from LLAMA, as well as being in close contact with other similar event organisers and North Devon Theatres. The concept is to stage the event at an otherwise previously quiet weekend of the year, bringing some extra fun to the towns, whilst also encouraging extra trade and visitors.

At the moment we are seeking potential comedy acts and event sponsors. Our hope is to try and make as much as possible free for visitors, although this will be to a degree dependent on what funding and sponsorship is forthcoming. The plan is for variety, which includes performance arts, stand-up, family friendly, as well as late evening gigs.

Make a note of this weekend in your diary now, and if you can help with sponsorship please get in touch. Further details will be posted on the site later in the summer, so keep this address bookmarked too!
